Neighborfully: Just Breathe

Hello, You -

This is Neighborfully, a dispatch from Neighborful Station, and it's such an honor to be here with you.

Neighborful Idea: Just Breathe

You have been up against it this past week. I've been hearing from you about busted furnaces, roof leaks, bad colds, and medication changes. We're officially in that part of the winter (especially in the East) when it feels like a slog until we get to the crocuses and daffodils that promise warmer days to come.

So take a moment, right now, and just breathe. Let the rest of your inbox look after itself, like a kid watching Bluey on a tablet. Give yourself a break from scrolling and first-quarter targets, whatever the heck those are. Roll your shoulders, put your feet flat on the floor if you can, and try to breathe from your stomach, not from your chest.

Thank you for taking care of yourself. ❤ī¸đŸ˜Š

TONIGHT: The Neighborful Goodnight

I am hosting The Neighborful Goodnight weeknights from Monday through Friday. Take 10 minutes at the end of your day and get ready for some good rest - not by ignoring these very hard times, but by connecting with your own hope once again.

⏰: 9:00p ET, 8:00p CT

đŸ’ģ: Live stream on YouTube

đŸ—“ī¸: Add a reminder to your calendar

We do a meditation together reflecting on the love that surrounds us, and then I share a bedtime story from Neighborful Station.

Folks are reporting better sleep after they join us for these gatherings. Please feel free to share this invite with anyone who may need it. I will continue hosting the show through the month of February at a minimum. See you tonight.

This Week in Neighborful Station

Our latest episode is Winter Picnic (Apple)(Spotify)(YouTube). Your neighborhood stages its first block party of the year, out in the snow and the cold. You get to snack on some elote, and you enjoy an improvised dance party in the street. ⛄đŸŒŊđŸĒŠ

Coming up on Saturday: Snow Day. The weather outside gets frightful, and you fall asleep to the sounds of snowfall and the plow coming through. The next morning, you and your neighbors help dig each other out. ❄ī¸đŸŒ¨ī¸đŸĨļ

Wish of the Week

May you remember that you can breathe for a moment, rest for a moment, just about anytime you need.

I'm on fire, Michael
